Heavy materials

How heavy waste is charged

Dense materials need to be priced by weight rather than by the same volume guide used for lighter waste. This typically applies to inert or heavy materials such as hardcore, soil and stones.

£80 + VATper tonne

This rate includes up to 30 minutes of loading time per tonne. As with standard collections, the team is practical and flexible rather than rigid about exact minutes.

Tell us if the load contains dense rubble, soil, hardcore or stone.
Photos help us separate light waste from heavy waste for a more accurate quote.

What affects the quote?

What helps us price your job accurately

Two jobs that look similar on paper can take very different amounts of time once access, stairs or waste type are considered. Sharing the right details early helps avoid surprises.

Amount of waste

The total volume is the starting point and decides the likely price band.

Type of material

General mixed waste, bulky items and heavy materials are handled differently.

Access to the load

Stairs, long carries, restricted parking or rear gardens can affect loading time.

Photos and timing

Good photos and a clear deadline make it easier to plan the most suitable collection.
